Dr. Amanda Young
Doctor of Philosophy in Health & Human Performance, Certified Health Education Specialist
With over a decade of experience in fitness and nutrition education, I am dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to take control of their wellness. As a Doctor of Philosophy in Health & Human Performance and a Certified Health Education Specialist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a personalized approach to my practice. I specialize in chronic disease management and prevention, sustainable behavior change, and workplace wellness, offering tailored strategies that address the unique needs of each client.
I understand that wellness is multifaceted, encompassing eight co-dependent dimensions: emotional, physical, occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and financial. When any of these areas are out of balance, it can negatively impact overall health. My expertise lies in helping individuals identify behaviors affecting their wellness and guiding them toward sustainable, positive changes. Through motivational interviewing, I support clients in taking charge of their health, whether they are navigating a new diagnosis, seeking to prevent chronic disease, or simply looking to enhance their fitness, nutrition, and stress management.
As a compassionate and results-driven health coach, I am passionate about improving health literacy and fostering open dialogue with healthcare providers. I believe that understanding your health is the first step to improving it, and I am here to help you every step of the way.
I also extend my expertise to companies looking to enhance their wellness programs. By developing evidence-based initiatives, I help organizations reduce absenteeism, boost morale, and increase productivity, ultimately contributing to a healthier, happier workforce.
